This album is an attempt to collect all the photos from the same period into a single sequence. This album contains nearly all my photos from before 1950. As always you are welcome to add comments at the bottom of the page. I am especially eager for help from anyone who has better dates or better identifications of the people in these photos.
The Tates (c. 1918)
Left to right: Lula, Ansel, and Sally -- Carol's grandmother, the one whom I knew as gentle little Big Momma, who used to slip us pineapple upsidedown cakes when the rest of the family wasn't looking. In other photos she looks like a holy terror, but my only experience with her was as a very sweet old lady.
