Michael Pruitt (the child that my Aunt Rosa Mae adopted) joined the Marines after high school just in time for his unit to be deployed to Korea. Here is the young Marine posing with Grandpa O just before he shipped out. The photo was shot at Lyons Park on Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile. (See next photo for how this place looks today.) By the way, Jacob and Sarah, the old dude in this photograph is your great-great-grandfather O'Rourke.
