As I go through the house looking through drawers, closets, old boxes in the attic, and so forth, I keep finding lots of old photos. This album contains more photos of Sarah, Jacob, Carol, Warren, Michael, Thom and the persons important to them. There are also some interesting World War Two era snapshots. The photos are in the best chronological order I can devise. If you have a better date than mine, please notice that you can type in comments at the bottom of each photo page. Please feel free to comment.
Young Pops (c. 1966)
Carol made this picture one afternoon as I got home from teaching classes at the University. (Actually, I had just come from a remedial English class for athletes. Members of that class included Jimmy Fuller, Ray Ogden, and Ray Perkins.) By the way, that's the way we dressed for school in the mid-60's. The site was the back yard of Alice Venable Lawson's big home on Thomas Street. We lived in a small house in Mrs. Lawson's back yard. (By the way, Mrs. Lawson was one of the main librarians at the University of Alabama from the 1940's to the 1960's.)
